QP Skillsharing Highlights

For anyone who didn't make it to the QP Skillsharing Workshop day today, we've got a few highlights for you.

QP Day

- At QP Day, you should be able to adapt your project to global revisions.

- Goal of QP Day: "I'm going to ask everybody if they can help me with what I'm doing"

- Answer 3 questions about your research question: (1) Can this research question be answered? (2) Should it be answered? (3) Can I answer it?

You QP presentation should:

(1) Introduce your Research Question

(2) Explain why the Research Question is interesting

(3) Using previous research, show that the Research Question is original/innovative

(4) Tell us how you plan to answer your Research Question

(5) Provide some possible outcomes for your plan

Wonderful advice from Dr. Lee:

- Knowing isn't the point [at the QP stage]. You will become specialized over time. In graduate school, you start knowing a little about everything. Over time, you end up knowing everything about something extremely specific.

- Knowledge is easy to get, we're looking for insight.
